Because everyone wants to live like a Troll, right? I'd guess all of my troll tips are in some book somewhere. But you have to read those books and try out the tips. Maybe some of you have and know some that work well for you. Or maybe you have an original idea.
Here's Mine: THE PERFECT SHAVE. Cheaper. Cleaner. Closer. Smoother. More environmentally friendly.
1) If your hands aren't clean, wash them in the regular manner by rubbing soap on them vigorously.
2) Take ordinary unscented cheapo bar soap and rub very gently. Making suds that are very light and frothy.
3) Apply thin layer to body part that needs shaving.
4) Shave closely with razor of choice.
5) Done. No aftershave. No atringent. Nothing.
You'll save a ton of money on canned shave crap foam, skin gels, after-shave products etc... And get the closest shave ever. And if you were prone to skin irritation from shaving, you'll cease to be. Yes, it works on all body areas, not just face.
Now give me YOUR household/fix-it/lifestyle/doomer/whatever tips!

I will be passing this along. Very great tip. Along this same theme, I have read (but not tried yet) that if you rest your razor in olive oil that the blade will never go dull. Now that could be a very money saving tip indeed if that is the case. Must remember to experiment with this.
Pam,
great tip! I BINGed it and it was listed as a tip several places with detailed instructions. Will try. Thanks!
Trollscaping. Bwahahahaha
well then I am a bonafide trollette because this is how I do the legs and underarms. everyday. sometimes, twice. I cannot fall asleep if there is any stubble drag on the sheets. I could make it with hairy hippy chick legs if I could stand the grow out.
chickory tip:
i got nothing.
Olive oil and sugar is a great face wash for those of us that need a little soft scrubbing.
You can save money by forgoing fancy face creams, too. They can't stop or reverse aging. The best thing you can do to keep skin looking relatively young and healthy is use a retinoid at night and an all-in-one product during the day: a UVA/UVB-blocking sunscreen of 30 spf that contains humectants to keep moisture in the skin so you don't look dry and flaky and antioxidants that protect against pollutants and free radical damage.
All available for around ten bucks a tube or bottle from your local drug store. Just avoid jars. They let in too much air and bacteria and ingredients degrade or lose their potency within weeks.
Buzz,
It works on humans too.
Chicko,
Glad to hear it. You got nothing? I figured you'd have a bunch. They don't have to be shave-related.
Boxer,
Wow! I'd have never thought of that.
Moi,
I don't know most of those words. Retinoid? Humectant? Are these antioxidants things you eat?
Good morning troll
That's how I shave. A bar of soap works just fine.
You've probably heard of running vinegar through a coffee maker to clean up hard water residue. Did you know that it works on a dishwasher as well? 2 cups of white vinegar added after the washer fills with water, can help to keep the jets clear.
What the heck happened to the check-box for follow-up emails?
Karl,
I'll try that. Thanks. I was hoping for something more James Bondish from you though. How to kill with a Q-Tip, sort of thing.
Wants a like button to push for Troll's comment to Karl.
Quick way to satisfy the urge to eat an entire bag of BBQ potato chips: slice up a bunch of cucumbers, dip them in BBQ rub. I guess you could do this with any kind of crunchy vegetable, but cucumbers have that round thing going on.
Pam,
grrrherhahahahahaa
Moi,
good one
